Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has approved the release of one hundred and thirty eight million, seven hundred thousand naira (N138,700,000) only for the payment of car and housing loans to 448 personnel of the teaching service in the state.
Disclosing this to newsmen in his office, the Permanent Secretary, Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission, Mr Mike Omolayo, said that successful beneficiaries, are expected to obtain letters of introduction signed by their Principals and Bursars, official identity cards, biometric data forms, appointment and confirmation letters to facilitate the payment processes.
According to the Permanent Secretary, the gesture was aimed at encouraging teaching and non-teaching staff across public secondary schools in the state for efficiency and effectiveness in the discharge of their duties, adding that effective date of repayment starts from June, 2024 salary.
