Ekiti Orphanage Homes Call for Intervention


The Heart of Dorcas Orphanage homes and Children Centre and Disability home both in Ado Ekiti have called on government and well meaning Nigerians to come to their aid.


The founders of the homes Mrs Lanre Fajuyi of Hearts of Dorcas Orphanage homes and Mr Olumide Ojo of the centre for Children and Youth with Special needs made the call when representatives of the Elemure Ogunyemi Foundation visited the homes. 


Mrs Fajuyi called on other well meaning Nigerians to come to their aid and rescue them from financial stress occasioned by the current economic situation in the country. 


They seek for better collaboration and commitment from relevant authorities to better the lots of the children in the area of health, education, feeding to ensure their overall welfare.


While donating some food stuff and other valuable items on behalf of Elemure Ogunyemi Foundation, Mr Yemi Ogunyemi noted that the gesture was sponsored by Mrs Ndifreke Ukpong and Mr Oluwaseye Ogunyemi for the foundation.



Mr Ogunyemi noted that the gesture by the donors was born out of their passion to lessen the financial burden occasioned by the present economic reality. 

The philanthropists hinted that Chief Elemure Ogunyemi has  developed interest for children and young people from a very tender age adding that giving back to the society has become part of his lifestyle during his life and they are emulating his good deeds. 

They assured that she would continue with the Scheme by ensuring she visits the homes and
other vulnerable groups and individuals regularly.
