The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, has consoled the family that was affected in the collapse of an ancient building in the early hour of today in igede Ekiti.
The Governor who spoke through his deputy, Chief (Mrs.) Monisade Afuye on Tuesday expressed deep sympathy over the high degrees of injuries sustained by four persona during the collapsed building.
The Chairman, Irepodun ifelodun local government Mr. Ogundana Babatola explained that, the incident occurred when the family were sleeping in the middle of the night .
The building christened Olagunju compound located at Odo-Uri Street, Igede - Ekiti in Irepodun/Ifelodun local government.
He said the occupants have been issued warning about the building but didn't heed to the warning.
The Chairman stressed that one the victims daughter lost her life to the ugly incident, the deceased whose name was Feranmi Ojo was aged 13years.
The Permanent Secretary of Ekiti State Emergency Management Agency, Mr. Olajide Borode, expressed grief over the incident saying Ekiti State government would intensify efforts to sensitize the residents of the state more on the dangers associated with such buildings.
