EKITI COMMISSIONER FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT VISITS FAJUYI PARK VENUE OF VICTOR OGUNSUA’S ATTEMPT AT GUINESS WORLD RECORD’S LONGEST HOURS IN PAINTING.

 

…Says Oyebanji’s administration would continue to prioritize Youths development

The Ekiti State Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Gold Adedayo has said that Governor Biodun Oyebanji administration would continue to support activities that can boost Youths development. 

Mr Adedayo gave the assurance during a solidarity visit to an indigenous artist who is trying to break the Guinness World Record in longest hours in painting at the Adekunle Fajuyi Memorial Park, Ado Ekiti, Mr. Victor Ogunsua popularly called "ovick" where he is show-casing his talent and skills in the area of creative art. 

He assured that the present administration would continue to harness opportunities and platforms for the youths to advance their talents and skills in other to be properly positioned to contribute significantly to the socio-economic development of the state.

The Commissioner commended Mr. Ogunsua who is a native of Ikole Ekiti in Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti for his creative art work that he is show-casing to the world.

He said" We are here to thank you for what you are doing. We are not surprised because Ekiti is known for the best. We want to say that you can do it, Ekiti is proud of you already, keep it up. We want to identify and stand by you through all the journey".

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Communication, Mrs Mary Oso Omotoso who accompanied the commissioner said that Ogunsua is already making Ekiti proud adding that his work of art show-casing to the world is exceptional, fantastic and extraordinary.

Earlier, the Deputy Art Director, Ministry of Art, Culture and Creative Economy who is also the Production Manager of Ogunsua, Mr. Ejiro Odiete said that the visual art has a market and follower-ship in Ekiti.

Mr Odiete revealed that it would be good if the youths of the state engage themselves in art production to reduce restiveness and create self employment.

Other dignitaries at the Fajuyi Park are representatives of the Ekiti Youth Parliament, National Youth Council of Nigeria ( NYCN) National Association of Nigeria Students ( NANS), Federation of Ekiti State Student Union (FESSU) Nigeria Youth Congress ( NYC) and a host of other personality.
