EKITI GOVT. PARTNERS CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE TO BOOST ECONOMY

Ekiti State Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Otunba Kayode Fasae has expressed the readiness of his office to collaborate with the State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (EKICCIMA) in the task of boosting commerce, trade and industrial development amongst others.


Otunba Fasae who made this known in Ado Ekiti while receiving officials of EKICCIMA on a courtesy visit to his office, said that the synergy between the two bodies would target adding value to raw materials for the benefit of entrepreneurs in the state.


He reiterated the commitment of Governor Biodun Oyebanji's led administration to wealth creation and reduction in unemployment in the state, adding that the focus eliminate poverty, make the people resourceful self-sufficient.


Stressing that the State would continue to work together with individuals and organizations in the private sector, Otunba Fasae said that Government would not be deterred from the target of driving the economy of the state to an enviable position.


He assured that the State would also continue to train youths and engage them in different hand-works as part of efforts to reduce unemployment.


In his remarks, the Director General of the Ekiti State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (EKICCIMA), Mr. Sanya Fabiyi pledged the support of the Chambers for efforts of Governor Oyebanji to develop the State.


Fabiyi explained that the visit which he described as a familiarization call, was part of the partnership drive with the ministry to move the economy of the state forward through the involvement of youths in the agricultural sector.
