ALUKO CHARGES WORKERS ON SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION OF GOVT. PROGRAMMES

Ekiti State Commissioner for Infrastructure and Public Utilities, Prof. Mobolaji Aluko has charged the leadership of the Ministry to redouble its efforts towards the successful implementation of the policies and programmes of the present administration in the State.

Speaking during a meeting with the top management of the Ministry (comprising Ekiti State Electricity Board, Ekiti State Water and Sewerage Co., Ekiti State Fire Service, and Office of Energy Matters), Prof. Aluko said that the programme was organized to pass down the vision of the present administration for proper implementation of policies towards achieving the desired goals.

He also stressed the need for workers, particularly in the management cadre, to familiarize themselves with the 6-pillars development of the Biodun Oyebanji's administration and the 27 Resolutions of the Retreat in order to boost their ability to effectively implement the programmes.

In his contribution, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Engr. Olumide Ajayi, stressed the need for everyone to be on their toes and be proactive, adding that no excuse would be taken for non- performance and any act of indiscipline.

He solicited their continued support for Government's efforts to develop the State and improve the lot of the people.

The Special Adviser, Office of Transformation, Strategy and Service Delivery (OTSD), Dr John Ekundayo, who was in attendance, said that ideas need to come from across the board, so as to achieve expected results, stressing that lowest grade level may have superior ideas, that grade level does not determine brain level.

He explained that assessment will enhance improvement that will generate positive outcome results that would be impactful, quoting Peter Drucker that "what get measured gets improved".
