Ekiti State First Lady, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji on Monday, donated cash gift to support the resilient spirit of Ekiti born student of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Damilola Adeparusi, (Chef Dammy) who is currently on her 120 hours Cook-A-Thon.
The first lady donation was announced on the official twitter handle of Chef Dammy @spiritwordGM, who expressed deep appreciation to the Governor's wife for her magnanimity.
Damilola Adeparusi, a student of Federal University, Oye-Ekiti on Saturday began a journey to break world record in cooking, a decision which has elicited positive reactions from many quarters.
Earlier, Dr. Oyebanji had sent message of commendation to the young lady via her various social media platforms.
The first lady who described Chef Dammy as an audacious youth, said she was personally touched and impressed that she braced up, despite all odds, to use her God-given talent to make a statement.
The statement reads, "the last 70 hours has been about Chef Dammy, a determined Ekiti undergraduate, who is making a bold attempt to break the Guinness World record for the longest cooking marathon. For me, it's her courage and determination to stand for something positive, using her God-given talent to make a statement.
"Miss Damilola Adeparusi, surely has our love and support as she forges ahead to make this bold statement.
"I salute your courage Chef Dammy, for your decision to run your own race. Congratulations"
