The Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe, has installed Alhaja Abibat Ogunjobi as the new Iyaloja of Ado Ekiti and Ekiti in General.
Oba Adejugbe, represented by Chief Abiola Omosio, said that the holder of the Iyaloja title would now rule for a term of five years, renewable at the discretion of the monarch.
Congratulating Alhaja Ogunjobi on her installation, Oba Adejugbe said the development became imperative as the last occupant, Mrs Waye Osho, had to step aside because of some infractions committed by her.
He charged the new Iyaloja to rule responsibly and be transparent in all her dealings.
In a remark, the new Iyaloja, Alhaja Abibat Ogunjobi, solicited the support of Ekiti market men and women and, as well, assured the traditional ruler of her commitment and support.
Alhaja Ogunjobi also introduced her deputies, Mrs Juliana Apalowo for Okeila and, Mrs Adefunke Ogunrinde for Oke Ewi to the gathering, as she promised to justify the confidence reposed in her and her deputies
