The Project Coordinator of Ekiti State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project, Hon. Sunday Adunmo has charged staff of the Project to redouble their efforts in order to ensure that the vision of the State government to construct 1000km rural roads become a reality.

Speaking in Ado Ekiti at a prayer programme marking the beginning of the new year, the Project Coordinator said the workers must renew their commitment and continue in the team spirit with which they commenced the project last year.

Adunmo advised the workers to be more focused and put in their best to ensure that the project is carried out according to specifications.

He added that the contractors handling the pilot road projects would soon return to site having gone on Christmas and new year holidays.

“We must approach the new year with renewed commitment and remain more focused to ensuring that the projects become a reality. Each of us must come up with work plans and actualize the work plans with team spirit. The governor has come up with the vision to make our farms accessible by motorable roads and turn the State to the food basket of the Southwest. It is our duty to see that this vision becomes a reality by performing our duties diligently and effectively. Ekiti people, especially the farmers are expectant; we cannot afford to let them down”, he said.
