EKSG to partner ABUAD on Health Care Service Delivery, commends founder.

The Ekiti State Government has disclosed plans to partner Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) Multi System Teaching Hospital as part of its effort to provide quality healthcare service delivery in the state.

The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health and Human Services Mr. Akinjide Akinleye mni, stated this while leading the management team of the Ministry on facility tour of the Hospital.

Mr Akinleye stated that the policy direction of the administration of Gov. Kayode Fayemi was zero tolerance for preventable deaths in all health facilities in the State. He noted that the government has commenced massive infrastructural facelift of both primary and secondary health facilities  across the state with procurement of state of the art medical equipment.

The Permanent Secretary  expressed the concerns of the State Government on medical responses to patients at some private health institutions in the state stressing that all patients presenting malaria should be subjected to Covid-19 tests. 

He said that there are 145 covid sample collections in the state and that discussions have begun with private health facilities to ensure the actualisation of the arrangement.

He hinted that the state is looking forward to partnering the ABUAD MultiSystem Hospital in areas of human resources, Electronic Medical Record  (EMR) for collection, processing and storage of data, blood transfusion, storage and management as well as training of staff among other areas. 

He commended the founder, Aare Afe Babalola for his philanthropic gesture and immense contributions to humanity through  huge investment in education and health care.

The Chief Medical Director of the ABUAD Multi System Hospital Dr. Kolawole Ogundipe noted that the hospital has handled serious health situations that many people believed couldn't be done in Nigeria even at lower cost. 

Dr. Ogundipe stated that the vision of the founder was to make the hospital one of the best hospitals globally stressing that the Hospital has grown organically since its inception to meet the expectations of the host community, Ekiti residents and Nigeria at large.

The CMD advised Ekiti residents to make medical check a regular exercise, adding that ABUAD hospital would do it for interested persons at subsidized cost which he noted has been the hallmark of the hospital and the founder.
