A truck carrying 33,000 litres of kerosene has reportedly fallen into Akonansan ditch along Ado-Iyin road in Iyin Ekiti.
According to Hon. Israel Adesokan (JARU) who is an eyewitness, the truck which is filled with kerosene lost control and rammed almost into the ditch.
He called on motorists to avoid the route as the tanker might explode and wreck havocs.
Adesokan said appropriate fire and safety agencies have been notified so that the situation could be managed without problems.
As at the time of filing this report, men of the Federal Fire Service have taken over the scene with the aim of preventing any unpalatable eventuality.
It is recalled that the government of Dr Kayode Fayemi has embarked on the construction of 7.23km new Ad-Iyin road in order to prevent accidents on the old Iyin road which had constantly caused accidents.
